Leading investment firm Fidelity is all set to launch cryptocurrency trading services soon. According to Bloomberg, the company is expected to roll out trading for Bitcoin within weeks and will be available exclusively for institutional investors.
The Boston firm had announced plans of a cryptocurrency custody service and trading platform last year. Fidelity is also expected to offer OTC trade execution and order routing for Bitcoin soon.
Just last week, the company had published a survey result which highlighted the increasing interest of institutional investors in digital assets. Interestingly, 22% of the investors already have digital assets in their portfolios and 40% are expected to embrace it within the next five years.
Fidelity joins the likes of E*Trade and Robinhood in offering cryptocurrency trading for its clients. Fidelity’s new service will definitely make institutional investors more comfortable with cryptocurrencies.
