Coinbase Pro lists Dai (DAI), Golem (GNT), Maker (MKR), and Zilliqa (ZIL)

Leading cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase continues to make exciting announcements as part of its ’12 Days of Coinbase’ initiative. The exchange launched four more tokens – Dai (DAI), Golem (GNT), Maker (MKR), and Zilliqa (ZIL) on its Coinbase Pro platform today. 

GNT and DAI will be immediately available for Coinbase Pro users in the US (except New York), Canada, UK, EU, Singapore and Australia. MKR and ZIL will be available in the UK, EU, Singapore, Australia and Canada for Coinbase Pro users. These altcoins will be rolled out to other jurisdictions soon. Users should also note that the associated functionalities with some of these tokens will not be available on the Coinbase Pro platform. For example, if users want to use their GNT tokens, they will have to move it from Coinbase Pro to a local wallet. 

Coinbase has now listed more than 10 coins on its platform this year. Apart from the latest tokens, the coins now available on Coinbase include 0x (ZRX)Zcash (ZEC)Ethereum Classic (ETC)Basic Attention Token (BAT),  USD Coin (USDC)Civic (CVC), district0x (DNT), Loom Network (LOOM) and Decentraland (MANA), in addition to Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC). Incidentally, DAI will become the second stablecoin to be added on Coinbase after USDC. The exchange also launched crypto-to-crypto trading recently and more coins are expected to be added soon

As always, the listing of these tokens will take place in four phases- Transfer-only, Post-only, Limit-only and Full trading.

While the bear market has dulled the enthusiasm of many cryptocurrency traders, companies like Coinbase have continued expanding their platform. Looks like these companies are getting the infrastructure ready for the next big wave. Because it’s going to be quick and fast when the bulls come charging!
