Coinbase has launched its visa debit cards in six more countries across Europe, according to a new report by CNBC. The countries with access to Coinbase Cards now include Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, and the Netherlands. The cryptocurrency exchange had first launched its debit card in the UK earlier this year.
The Coinbase Card instantly converts cryptocurrencies into fiat currencies and allows users to make online and offline purchases. The card can also be used for international transactions and ATM withdrawals.
The cards are linked to a mobile app on iOS and Android. Users can decide which cryptocurrencies they want to spend through the app.
Coinbase has been aggressively expanding its presence across the globe. It recently launched trading services in more than 50 countries, including India. The exchange is also contemplating the introduction of margin trading on its platform.
